Description

Black Assam tea from India distinguishes itself from other teas by its intensity and dark scent. Assam tea has a more robust character than many other teas, because it originally comes from a wild tea plant variety from the interior of India. Assam tea is therefore often drunk as a breakfast tea in the morning. Rich in tannin, robust and full of character.

In a search for an exceptional breakfast tea, I found gold in the form of this beautiful, strong and orthodoxly produced Assam tea from the West Bengal. The small, second-season black tea leaves have an abundance of golden tips in the leaf that provide a powerful infusion in the cup and the delicious malty flavor notes that Assam teas are known for.

Assam F.B.O.P. 'Manjushri' offers a clear, amber infusion with a full flavor, sweet caramel notes and a smooth mouthfeel, making it a perfect morning tea. This specific variety is picked and processed during the summer months. The F.B.O.P. quality (Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe) makes the loose leaf release the most tasty tea flavors in a short time. For the enthusiast: a cloud of milk fits perfectly in this tea :-)
