Thé du Roi


A unique combination of properties that come together in a cup of tea, packed with antioxidants. The idea of making this combination of oolong tea and ginseng root originated in China, specifically to combine the health benefits of both ingredients. Ginseng oolong tea quickly became popular and spread to other parts of Asia and – eventually – the rest of the world.

This delicious drink is known for its supposed health benefits, including boosting energy, improving digestion and strengthening the immune system. Our 'Thé du Roi' is produced in Nantou province, in the heart of the most mountainous area in Taiwan. The lightly oxidized oolong tea is infused with ground ginseng root and then dried, resulting in a striking appearance of gray-green pebbles.

Ginseng Oolong has a lemon yellow infusion and sweet and fresh notes that can be described as earthy with light shades of fennel and liquorice and a slightly creamy sweet mouthfeel with the pleasant lingering aftertaste of ginseng.
